In Motion & Momentum+ is a new program that helps you begin to move in a direction that feels good, tap into your full potential, and create the life you want to live.

This program is for people who have significant potential for success in their lives. It is especially useful for those who, for one reason or another, may have been stuck or feeling like they've been moving in a direction that is not right for them.

What will I learn?

We respect that you already have lots of life experience, skills, important connections, and wisdom – that you are the expert on your own life and in control of your own future. This program is all about providing experiences and opportunities that help you to take charge and live the life you want to live.

The program is for those who:

Are between the ages of 18 and 30 and are not working or in school
Are feeling stuck or like they have been moving in a direction that is not right for them
Have a desire to try something new or different
Have a minimum of Grade 5 literacy level (About a CLB 5 or 6)
Can function in a group setting
Have stability with respect to addictions, health (physical/mental), housing, food, finances
Have basic digital literacy as the program is being delivered remotely
Have not previously applied to the IM&M+ program

The program is divided into three units:

1. In Motion

This first part of the program is about:

Better understanding what's most important to you;
Knowing the skills, strengths, and supports you already have;
Building and extending your skills, strengths, and supports; and
Shaping a vision for your life that feels exciting, right, and possible.

2. Momentum

This second part helps you to continue to build on your vision and move towards making it a reality. It is also an opportunity for you to meaningfully contribute to your community by taking part in a community project that you and others in the group choose as a way of making your community better.

3. Momentum+

It helps you work towards living the life you want to lead by capitalizing on your strengths and skills, supporting you with the steps in your action plan, reconnecting you with your IM&M+ group, and helping you seek the support of other allies in your community.

Program Duration

Module 1 - 3 weeks, 3 days a week

Module 2 - 4 weeks, 4 days a week

Module 3 - 3 weeks, 2 days a week

Total duration: 10 weeks (6 hours a day, from 8:30am to 2:45pm)

Is there a cost to this program?

This is a free program. Clients are paid $25/day for their attendance.
