Safe People is a peer leadership training program.
People who participate in the Safe People program are able to enhance their ability to:

Engage in self-care
The Safe People program covers topics such as mental health issues, drug and alcohol use and advocacy.
Training builds on skills, helping people to build confidence in their communities. Graduates of the Safe People program often go on to be members and leaders of local community groups and plan events such as:

Barbecues

Holiday celebrations
-
Craft groups
-
Collective kitchens
Activities, like those listed above, strengthen the bonds between community members and partners. Trained Safe People listen, plan and act to create change where they live.
