Headstart Child Care

Pinecrest-Queensway Headstart Child Care offers 70 subsidized child care spaces within  Dr. F.J. McDonald School. 

Families with children 18 months to 4 years who are eligible for a child care subsidy and face multiple barriers are able to attend. 

The Headstart Child Care is an enriched play-based program where children, families and educators can explore, question and learn together. The program operates in four large classrooms with a large outdoor space for children to be able to connect with nature.  

Hours of operation are from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Limited transportation is available within PQCHC’s catchment area.
