Are you between the ages of 16 and 29?
Future Builders is a pre-apprenticeship training and work experience program for youth providing hands on skills and training to find employment in general carpentry and other construction trades.
In the Future Builders Program, you will receive:
Exposure to the general carpentry trade and other trades in the construction sector.
Training & workshops including health and safety, hands on technical training & pre-employment preparation.
Required certifications: WHMIS, Working At Heights, Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Step, Elevated Work Platforms and First Aid/CPR.
A paid work placement in the construction sector with supports for the first 9 weeks of employment.
Safety equipment and toolkits.
To be eligible for Future Builders, participants must:
Be between the ages 16 and 29.
Be eligible to work in Ontario.
Have reached grade 10 (or equivalent).
Commit to attending full time training and work in the field following training.
