Parenting in a Canadian Context

  

This workshop is for parents who are new to Canada. Parents will have opportunity to relate to other new Canadians while sharing their experiences. Differences in parenting in a western culture will be explored. Discover what local community agencies and schools can offer. Topics focus on: holding on to your cultural values, discipline and punishment, how to integrate in the western culture, parenting styles and skills, creating positivity in your family and others. For parents new to Canada. Location: Bayshore drop-in site, 210 Woodridge Crescent, Ring 101 for access, workshop will be in the basement room. Childcare, snacks and bus tickets are available.
