Assessment, Support and Referrals

It can sometimes be difficult for Ottawa residents to obtain regular access to mental health services. Pinecrest-Queensway offers community members and their families free assistance by appointment or walk-in most weekday afternoons. PQCHC intake workers are available to provide clients with services such as:

  • Mental health information
  • Personal support
  • Crisis intervention
  • Short-term counselling
  • Referrals for individuals and families in need of further assistance or treatment

Walk-Ins

Intake workers see walk-in clients on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 12:30 pm to 3:15 pm at PQCHC’s main location. Service providers provide assistance primarily in English, though some may also be fluent in French. Cultural interpretation is not available during walk-in hours.  For more information, call general reception at 613-820-4922.

Appointments

Scheduled appointments are available Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.  Appointments are made directly with the Intake Worker by calling the main reception number, 613-820-4922, to be transferred to an Intake Worker. When required, a cultural interpreter may be booked for a scheduled appointment.
