Pinecrest-Queensway is home to an efficient, results-oriented Employment Services division. Employment Services works with Ottawa job seekers, employers and government programs alike to bring the right people together with the resources they need to find success.
The goal of this free program is to provide students in Ottawa’s west end aged 15 to 19 with a volunteer experience in the retail industry, so they can acquire the skills and experience necessary to finding part-time employment in the future. Each year, the Job1 program places 16 youth from the PQCHC catchment area in work placements in retail stores in the west end of Ottawa.
Youth LEAD assists permanent resident and refugee youth between the ages of 15-29 to develop skills and experience working in Canada.
The Millennium Learning Centre (MLC) at Pinecrest-Queensway is one of twenty small community-based computer access centres across the City of Ottawa where people can learn to use computers and the Internet at their own pace and in a supportive environment.
Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre supports employment equity & diversity principles. Available positions are posted on this website, on employment websites, in relevant local newspapers, other community health and resource centres.
